Simple, supportive, and on your timeline.
We handle the logistics so you don't have to. Here's exactly what working with Postpartum Partners looks like.
Fill Out Your Intake Form & Book a Free Consult
Start by filling out a short intake form so we can get to know your family before we speak. It takes just a few minutes and helps us come prepared — so your free 20-minute consultation is focused, personalised, and genuinely useful from the start.
No obligation required — just a conversation about where you are, what you need, and how we can help.
We'll talk through- Your due date or your baby's current age
- What your days and nights look like right now
- Whether a postpartum doula, newborn caregiver, or both would suit you best
- Scheduling, frequency, and what a realistic support plan looks like for your family

We Recommend the Right Support
Based on what we learn in your consult, we'll recommend the service that fits your family best — whether that's postpartum doula support, overnight newborn care, or a combination of both. We'll also talk through scheduling, frequency, and what a realistic plan looks like for your life right now.
We Find Your Match
We go through our network of vetted doulas and caregivers and identify the right match based on your specific needs, preferences, and schedule.
Every caregiver in our network has been through our full vetting process- In-person or video interview
- Reference checks (minimum two)
- Credential and certification verification
- Infant CPR certification confirmed
- Review against our Standard of Care
We match carefully — not just on availability, but on experience, approach, and fit. And if for any reason the match doesn't feel right, we work to find another.
Support Begins
Before your first shift, you'll receive a written Plan of Care — a simple document outlining your baby's needs, your household preferences, the scope of support agreed, and any important notes for your caregiver.
Your doula or caregiver arrives prepared and briefed on your family's specific needs. And we stay involved — checking in after the first shift, handling any scheduling changes, and remaining your point of contact throughout.
Free 20-minute call. No commitment required.
Questions we get asked a lot.
A postpartum doula supports both you and your baby — physically, emotionally, and educationally — during the early weeks after birth. A newborn caregiver focuses on hands-on baby care, often overnight, so you can sleep and recover. Many families use both at different stages.
Every caregiver goes through a full interview, reference checks, credential verification, and review against our Standard of Care before joining our network. We hold every caregiver to the same standard we would expect for our own family.
Postpartum and newborn care services are not covered by BC's provincial health plan (MSP). For questions about extended health benefit coverage, we recommend checking directly with your insurance provider. We are actively working to expand the support we can offer families in this area — stay tuned for updates.
We currently serve Metro Vancouver and Kamloops. Contact us if you're unsure whether we cover your neighbourhood.
We recommend reaching out in your third trimester to ensure the best match and availability. That said, we will do our best to support families who reach out after baby arrives — don't hesitate to get in touch regardless of where you are.
We stay involved for exactly this reason. If something isn't working — for any reason — contact us and we'll work to find the right solution, whether that's a rematch, a scheduling adjustment, or something else entirely.
